$110,000About Tercero Technologies:Tercero Technologies is a
defense technology startup focused on edge artificial intelligence
(AI) solutions for Electromagnetic Spectrum Operations (EMSO) in
forward-deployed intelligent sensor systems and autonomous unmanned
systems. We are relocating from Chicago to Washington, DC, in April
2025. Our mission is to transition AI technologies from research
labs to real-world defense applications at the tactical edge,
addressing size, weight, and power (SWaP) constraints through
innovative field-programmable gate array (FPGA)
technologies.Position Overview:We are seeking a motivated Software
Engineer with foundational experience in machine learning and/or
signal processing algorithm development to join our team in
Washington, DC. This role involves developing and implementing
advanced AI algorithms for intelligent sensors and autonomous
systems. Due to the nature of the work, access to International
Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and Controlled Unclassified
Information (CUI) data is required; therefore, candidates must meet
specific eligibility criteria.Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the design, development, and optimization of
algorithms for intelligent sensor systems, focusing on machine
learning and/or signal processing.
- Support the implementation of machine learning models tailored
for hardware acceleration.
- Collaborate with team members to integrate hardware and
software components, creating robust, efficient, and scalable
solutions.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of
software-defined radio (SDR) solutions for advanced sensing
systems.
- Participate in defining system requirements and architecture in
collaboration with cross-functional teams.
- Assist in testing and validating developed systems to ensure
performance and reliability in field conditions.
- Maintain compliance with ITAR and CUI regulations in all
aspects of work.Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering,
Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering, or
a related field.
- Experience or coursework in machine learning and/or signal
processing algorithm development.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, C/C++, and
JavaScript.
- Understanding of hardware-software integration and embedded
systems.
- Familiarity with software-defined radio (SDR) development and
implementation is a plus.
- Exposure to AMD Xilinx FPGA development tools is a plus.
- Familiarity with defense industry standards and protocols is a
plus.
- Ultimately, we are specifically looking for someone who is
excited to learn new technologies and is willing to pitch in to
help with technical tasks as needed.Eligibility Requirements:
- Must be a U.S. person as defined by ITAR regulations.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance may be
required in the future.
- Must be located in the Washington, DC area; relocation
assistance is not available.
