PositionThe focus of a Senior Sales Executive is on achieving
results that are aligned with the overall organization and our
strategic goals. Initiative, coupled with a sense of competitive
drive, and the ability to stay focused on results despite changing
conditions, are the keys to achieving the performance objectives of
the Senior Sales Executive role at Expeditors. Our Senior Sales
Executives are focused on orchestrating the involvement of multiple
people in our Sales process, so that new customer revenue is
consistently secured for our district offices and Expeditors
network. The job environment is flexible, constantly changing, and
provides growth opportunity, recognition and reward for the
achievement of business results. This position reports to the
District Manager.
- Generate leads, manage a list of 40 Named Accounts (Company has
> $20 million USD annual revenue), and demonstrate success at
closing new logo and new business with target and prospect accounts
based on established new logo/new business revenue
expectations.
- Timely data entry in our Customer Relationship Management
tool.
- Orchestrate customer/Expeditors network relationship and
collaborate with regional Product, Service, Geo, and Knowledge
Management resources.
- Participate in the creation of value-added solutions for
customer's logistics needs, including supporting diagrams and
cost-benefit calculations.
- Keep updated on product and industry knowledge by obtaining
required certifications and selling skills training.
- Support the transition of new accounts through customer
introductions, information transfer, and securing any necessary
customer paperwork.
- When needed, support AR (accounts receivable) collection.
- Take on additional assignments as required, supporting company
needs.QualificationsDesired Skill-Sets and Characteristics
- Minimum 5 years Sales experience in the same industry.
- Extroverted, confident, enthusiastic and persuasive,
Self-motivated with ability to work in a fast paced and constantly
changing environment.
- Strong business acumen.
- Influences others to action.
- Contract execution facilitation and negotiation.
- Fluent in supply chain terms and concepts; including diagnosis,
process mapping methodology, and decision-making cost drivers.
- High level of commitment to exceptional customer service and
relationship building.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in the English
language.
- Sense of urgency for goal achievement.
- Strong problem solving, organizational, and interpersonal
skills.
- Ability to work productively both individually and in a team
environment.

- Experienced with business operating systems and current
